Our shop is located in Vuonislahti, Lieksa in the middle of the most beautiful national landscape and magnificent hiking areas in Finland. From our coastal paths you can admire the hills of Koli Nationalpark on the other side of lake Pielinen at this beautiful Finnish Lakeland. Here you can enjoy nature without traffic jams and tourist masses.

Our shop is an old village school from the late 1800s. Here you can enjoy friendly service and pizzas with local ingredients. You can enjoy a glass of wine or our delicious lemonades, which are made on a small farm in our local area.

You will also find a wonderful shop of ecological products, local handicrafts and home décor products, where you can pamper yourself or make bargains in a souvenir bag. In addition, we sell groceries and we have an excellent selection of books. You can also rent a room from us.

Welcome to Vuonislahti

We are Calle and Riikka. Our story in Vuonislahti starts with the cottage of Riikka´s grandparents. Stunning nature and national landscapes took over, that´s why we moved here.

When the old school in Vuonislahti was on sale, we made the decision to start Wanhan Koulun Puoti to meet the needs of villagers, cottagers and tourists alike. Vuonislahti is a dear place for us, we hope you enjoy our lively village like we do.
